Cool iTunes Wish List
About a month ago I submitted a request to the iTunes suggestion box asking if there was a way you could make a 'Wish List' of sorts inside of iTunes. Well... now there is. Isn't Apple great? I was using the Shopping Cart feature but that got to be ridiculous because there are certain songs I want to buy with one-click and there are other songs that I could wait on and just put in my wish list. (Received in an Apple eNews message)
iTunes tip: Creating a music wish list

Wish List Have you ever discovered a song on the iTunes Music Store that you didn't want to purchase immediately but didn't want to forget about either? You may not realize it, but iTunes lets you keep track of those songs. And here's how easily you can do so. Switch to iTunes and then:
- Choose "New Playlist" from the File menu and name your new playlist-- e.g., "Wish List."
- Click the Music Store icon and find a song you fancy-- "Banana Pancakes" on Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams, let's say.
- Drag the song into your new Wish List folder.
That's it. And when you're ready, you can purchase the song right from the Wish List with a single click. Just by clicking on the "Buy Song" button.

Tiger Story
Well... OSX 10.4 came out on Friday, and having ordered it 9 days previous I was excited for the release. I had planned for this post to be about my new Mac expierence in Tiger, but that is not the case. What is the case is that I didn't get Tiger and on top of that I consistantly got lied to from Apple customer support about me getting Tiger on Friday. To make a long story not so long I didn't have a tracking number until Friday and then it said I wouldn't get Tiger til Tues. and then I get lies like this: "Oh you should get it before 6:00 PM today" and "Don't worry about it, we have gotten numerous calls from many people with the same problem and they got their copies today" Unbelievable... I have had nothing but good expierences with Apple up until this point and it is disappointing that this is the way it went (because I could have gotten a copy at the Apple store in Des Moines but I wasn't going to get my employee discount and my copy was already being shipped to me). Bottom line, I am venting and this is the best way I know how. In the end, I was compensated for my discontent with $20 but there is no way you are going to give me my weekend back so my Tiger expierence has started off poorly. Oh well, I will just have to wait another 2 days for Dashboard, Spotlight, and the new Quicktime 7.

Wow, this is coke with Lime
Well... having not blogged in a while a lot has gone on in the last month. The Pope died, the City Council and Mayors campaigns are heating up, and Coca-Cola has introduced coke with lime. Having not really the guts to try one in the last three weeks I finally got the courage to try it. To be honest, I have to say that Diet Coke with Lime is actually pretty good. Low sugar, 0 calories, I would drink Diet Coke with lime if offered. I have to give Coca-Cola much credit, they finally got an ad that sparked my interest to actually buy a product that I wouldn't think about trying. Check out the commercial here.

My Trip
I am soooo excited about the trip I am going on to Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington IL, a suburb of Chicago. It's called the ONE conference and it is for Jr. High, Sr. High, and College mentors who want to learn more about leading students to Christ. The best part is that they are going to have my favorite band, Delirious?, in concert on the second day. I cannot wait to see them live. I have about 80% of their collection of songs and every song is inspiring to me. Check out the ONE conference website here

Well... for those of you seeing my blog for the first time I want to thank the Omaha World Herald for their great article on blogs. It was well put together, and I had a lot of fun assisting in its creation. I think it tells a lot about blogs for those who know nothing about them, like my family :) Anyway, for those who haven't seen it here's the link Enjoy.

Firefox New York Times Ad
The firefox ad in the NY Times is out today and I have to say I am impressed. I can't believe an open-source browser would get this kind of attention. I hope this re-entergizes the browser market and makes Microsoft come out with better, more reliable versions of IE, because there are many average Joe users out there who don't use anything other than IE and won't switch to anything else and that is dangerous, especially when they don't use firewalls or update their virus protection. Anyway, I am rambling Check out the ad.

The new firefox is out and I have to say that it is spetacular :) The bug fixes that have been implemented have made the proformance of the browser at startup a lot better. I haven't expierenced any difference in the speed of the browser yet, but I am sure once I start using it more I will find something that is different that I like. Download Firefox 1.0

I got a MAC
Yes that is correct ladies and gentlemen I have a Mac. A 15 Powerbook to be more specific. This is an awesome toy for me. I plan on doing a lot of video editing and such with my church and this will assist me in that a ton. It is interesting how the Lord blesses me because I got a great deal on it and I didn't think I was going to be able to afford something like this so soon in my career.
